In Development
(... but here's a lil sneak peek 🤫)
Logline:
The same bloodline and space don’t equal harmony. Three family members each experience a seemingly everyday birthday dinner incongruently.
The Players:

We're honored to have (from L to R) Keisha Champagne, Kevin D'Ambrosio, & Connor Allen Smith attached!
While Connor's been a Prairie Creek regular, we're excited to welcome Keisha & Kevin to the family, making their Prairie Creek debut with bona fides from their work as seen on NBC, Lifetime, & the Moth.

The Sound:
We're ecstatic to have developed a relationship with Mutual Benefit!
The collaborative project of Jordan Lee, Mutual Benefit blends folk, psychedelic pop, & experimental recording techniques into fragile, hopeful songs that evoke Sufjan Stevens, the Microphones, & the Antlers. They hold the honor of being the first Bandcamp release to be named "Best New Music" by Pitchfork.
The Look & Inspirations:
Curated by one of our resident producers, Reid M. Nelson, here's a watchlist of films we're inspired by for HBD!

Bergman's Scenes from a Marriage

Kiarostami's Certified Copy

Ozu's Floating Weeds

PTA's Phantom Thread

Ozu's Late Spring

Demmes' Rachel Getting Married
Some are visual inspirations, some are mood, and one is just striking. We're primarily building off of Bergman's "Scenes from a Marriage," Ozu's assortment of family dramas, Demme's haunted "Rachel Getting Married," & Kasi Lemmons' tapestry of memory, "Eve's Bayou."
